Deciding what kind of shingle to buy can feel a bit overwhelming. There are so many brands and types to choose from. The truth is that almost all shingle manufacturers are producing the same quality product and are generally about the same cost. What is different are the styles of shingle that are available for each company, so it is based on what color or style you prefer. 

However, we believe that it is better to go with an architectural shingle over a "3-tab" shingle because it is thicker and is in one solid piece as opposed to having three individual tabs on it. Shingle prices can vary depending on the style you wish to have, but most roofs that are put on today are a traditional "architectural" shingle.
